Summary

From the creators of Death Note! Mirai may have been saved by an angel, but his battle is just beginning…

As his classmates celebrate their middle school graduation, troubled Mirai is mired in darkness。 But his battle is just beginning when he receives some salvation from above in the form of an angel。 Now Mirai is pitted against 12 other chosen humans in a battle in which the winner becomes the next god of the world。 Mirai has an angel in his corner, but he may need to become a devil to survive。

Just when it looked like the god candidates might come to an agreement, one of them is suddenly assassinated。 Now Professor Yoneda seems to be in control of the entire god selection process。 Will the remaining candidates yield to Yoneda’s desire to rid humanity of fake gods, or does Mirai have a different plan in mind…?

the hot takes in this were so bad 💀firstly; discrimination isn’t only bad when it occurs at an institutional level, i don’t know why yuri tried to act like her saying “this guy-on-guy stuff is hard to take” wasn’t homophobia just because gay marriage wasn’t legal ???? there’s a difference between interpersonal discrimination and systemic discrimination but they’re both bad。secondly; the fact that she then decided to be like “i’m a minority for believing in god but even though people treat me hor the hot takes in this were so bad 💀firstly; discrimination isn’t only bad when it occurs at an institutional level, i don’t know why yuri tried to act like her saying “this guy-on-guy stuff is hard to take” wasn’t homophobia just because gay marriage wasn’t legal ???? there’s a difference between interpersonal discrimination and systemic discrimination but they’re both bad。secondly; the fact that she then decided to be like “i’m a minority for believing in god but even though people treat me horribly i will keep believing in him” AFTER LITERALLY SAYING THAT DISCRIMINATION WAS ONLY A THING IF IT WAS INSTITUTIONAL was so contradictory and unnecessary。 。。。more

Platinum End, Vol。 12 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next six chapters (42–47) of the on-going manga series。The remaining five God Candidates: Mirai Kakehashi, Saki Hanakago, Yuri Temari, Shūji Nakaumi, and Gaku Yoneda has retreated to their own bases with Mirai Kakehashi, Saki Hanakago, and Yuri Temari in one group and Gaku Yoneda and Shūji Nakaumi under the influence of a red arrow in another。Gaku Yoneda is revealed to be a professor emeritus at Tokyo Universit Platinum End, Vol。 12 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next six chapters (42–47) of the on-going manga series。The remaining five God Candidates: Mirai Kakehashi, Saki Hanakago, Yuri Temari, Shūji Nakaumi, and Gaku Yoneda has retreated to their own bases with Mirai Kakehashi, Saki Hanakago, and Yuri Temari in one group and Gaku Yoneda and Shūji Nakaumi under the influence of a red arrow in another。Gaku Yoneda is revealed to be a professor emeritus at Tokyo University and one of the youngest people to win a Nobel Prize in both physics and literature。 He has a disdain interacting with humanity and prefers to work and be alone。 His backstory of how he died was revealed as he wanted to know what was beyond the barrier of life when he was chosen as a God Candidate。He also figured out a plan to make sure that no God Candidate becomes God – as he believes that God is a construct of the human mind and humanity doesn’t need a one anymore。 Furthermore, the public around the world seems to agree with him and those that want a God, they don’t want one from Japan。 The tankōbon closes with the five remaining God Candidates meeting again – in a safe space。This tankōbon is written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata。 It deals with the aftermath of the Yūrakuchō District as the remaining five God Candidates flee from the failed assassination attempts of them。 Gaku Yoneda creates another meeting in a newly built stadium safe from any sniper attacks by including a safe zone where no one could enter。 Apparently, Yoneda has a plan to kill Mirai Kakehashi, Saki Hanakago, and Yuri Temari and then have Shūji Nakaumi and him to mutually kill each other to prevent this so-called God to exist。All in all, Platinum End, Vol。 12 is a wonderful continuation of the series and I can't wait to read more。 I am intrigued to find out how the story continues。 。。。more

Leider verliert der Manga langsam an Fahrt。 Mir gefällt zwar die Story immer noch, aber es darf jez echt im nächsten oder übernächsten Band zu Ende gehen。 Irgendwie ist die Luft raus。
